Outline of Office
General private investigation office IF RESEARCH is a private investigator and enquiry agency, which was established in Hamura City, Tokyo, in 2005 (Heisei 17) and belongs to the Tokyo Metropolitan Investigation Service Association of the Japan Investigative Business Association (the Nihon Chosagyo Kyokai) which was launched as a public-interest corporation under a license of the Government in September 1988 (Showa 63).
Satoru Ikenaga, representative of the office, is in charge of the investigation, and the office has employees and advisers with seasoned knowledge across a wide range of industries to meet any kind of investigative need and aims to expand its business overseas to address globalization of the business.
Upon the enactment of the Law on Optimizing Services of Private Investigation
Business (known as Private Investigation Business Optimization Law) on
June 1, 2007 (Heisei 18), notification for the commencement of business
was filed with the Tokyo Metropolitan Public Safety Commission through
Fussa Station of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and accepted
under No. 30080244. On July 31, 2009, the given number changed as No.30090221
due to change of commercial resigtration.
Area of Expertise
This office has been investigating various matters since before the enactment
of the Private Investigation Business Optimization Law, which involves
a wide range of fields, including credibility, background, location, the
Internet, harassment, telephone break, pranks, bullying, stalking, domestic
violence and investigations abroad.

Consultation is available from time to time at any time other than that specified above
if a reservation is made by phone.
As to legal issues, we may recommend legal counseling from a lawyer first and
propose an investigation based upon the handling policy of the lawyer.
